Super Falcons Boycott Training Over Unpaid Allowances

The super falcons of Nigeria today boycotted training ahead of their WAFCON third place tie with Zambia as they protested missed-payments of their match bonuses of over $10,000.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is owing
the players $3,000 for each of their two group stage victories and $5,000 for their quarterfinal win over Cameroon and out of which they have only received $1,000 each.

According to BBC Sport Africa’s, NFF president Amaju Pinnick has given reassurances to the players that the payments will arrive as the FA is waiting for funds from the Nigerian government’s Sports Ministry
