Aubamenyang breaks El Classico Record With Brace

Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubamenyang put up a man of the match performance on Sunday in the La Liga’s El Classico when he scored a brace and provided an assist to hand Barcelona a 0-4 victory over their rivals.

With his contribution on Sunday, Aubameyang is the first player to be directly involved in three goals in his first El Clasico appearance in all competitions in the 21st century and also became the second African player to score in the biggest La Liga match since Samuel Eto’o.

He has also become the first player to score in five successive games against Real Madrid in the 21st century after banging brace in Sunday’s El Clasico.

Aubamenyang who joined Barcelona on a free transfer in January from Arsenal has now scored nine(9) goals in his last eleven(11) matches for the Spanish giants.
