
New Zambia national team interim coach Beston Chambeshi says he is ready to lead the Zambia national team in the forthcoming September world cup qualifiers.
Speaking to spring tv, Chambeshi said he is looking forward to the new challenge with the national team and that expectations from Zambians are high.

Chambeshi who is also the current Nkana FC coach was appointed by the football association of Zambia as interim coach and will be assisted by Numba Mumamba following the termination Serbian coach Milutin Sredojevic’s contract who has since been re-appointed Ugandan Coach.

Chambeshi also told Spring Tv that he has no problem being national team coach as well as club coach at the same time and that Nkana will have to find someone to take charge of the club in his three months absence.
The quick silver as he is fondly known , led the Zambia u-20 to Afcon victory in 2017 and reached the quater finals of the juniour FIFA world cup.

However many have been wondering what his senior chipolopolo squad will look like especially that majority of the players he used to win the under 20 Africa cup are all doing fine with the clubs.

Some of the players that were part of Chambeshi’s U-20 squad have grown to be ZAMBIA’S super stars and dependable figures in the National team.

Patson Daka is one of the players that made Chambeshi’s U-20 afcon winning squad. The 23-year-old has now grown into a super star after impressing in the Austrian league were he emerged top scorer and got signed by English premier league side LEICESTER city.

Enock Mwepu is another student for Chambeshi who was also part of the 2017 squad that won the U-20 Afcon. Mwepu like Daka impressed in the Austrian league with Red bull Salzburg and he has now joined Brighton and Hove Albion fc. He is set to debut in the in the premier league this season .

Fashion Sakala was the star in Chambeshi’s U-20squad. He has grown to be a dependable figure in the Zambia national team.

Sakala impressed in the Belgian league last season with Kv Oostende and got scouted by Steven Gerrald who has since signed him and he is already up and running with Rangers FC.

Another key member in Chambeshi’s afcon U-20 winning squad Djurgårdens IF.
His partnership with Enock Mwepu in the Midfield was lethal and had their opponents wowed.

Edward Chilufya was another youngster that made headlines at the u-20 Afcon and world cup.

He is also playing for swedish club Djurgårdens IF as a winger, banging goals week in week out with reports indicating that French clubs are interested to sign him.

Chambeshi is this week set to announce his provisional squad for the world cup qualifiers set to kick off in September.
The idea is very good and brilliant and I would like to see him do that though he has to work on the defense part we concided alot of goals

First he must identify a leader as captain who is committed as katongo Christopher,who can inspire others then part of the problem could have been solved

Firstly he needs to have friendly game to test his squad and should play with strong team like Nigeria, Ghana and Algeria that’s when he will have final squad we know he can do it we can qualify The key is to win the first game then will have hope of qualifying
