Liverpool coach , Jurgen Klopp has come under fire from Africans who are gutted by his demeaqning comments that the Africa cup of nations(Afcon) is ”a little tournament in Africa” .
The Germany national was commenting on his plan for the Liverpool team when some of his players will be summoned for international duty will be while the premier league is ongoing in January.
In what many have described as disrespectful to Africa , the Liverpool manager said he was excited to watch the South American cup and referred to the Africa cup of nations which is Africa’s biggest football tournament as ” a little tournament in Africa”.
Liverpool could be without their African stars Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah who are expected to take part in the Africa cup of nations with Senegal and Egypt next year in January.
