
Zambian and Leicester city red-hot striker Patson Daka has been voted UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE player of the week following his electric performance in Leicester’s 4-3 win over Spartak Moscow in Russia on Thursday.
The fast rising striker scored a haul for the Leicester side that came from two goals down to thump Spartak Moscow 2-4 away from home.

Barely days after after he became the first Zambian to score in the premier league when he netted his debut league goal in Leicester colours, Daka also became the first Zambian to score a hatrick in any major European competition excluding qualifiers.


The 23-year old who rose through the ranks from Austrain giants Red bull Salzburg now holds the record for the fastest hattrick in both the Austrian Bundesliga (11 minutes) and the Europa League (9 minutes).

Meanwhile, his Cameroonian counterpart Karl Ekambi who was also nominated for the Uefa europa league player of the week awards, has been voted number three in the polls.
Ekambi who plays for French club, Lyon FC netted brace last night in the Europa league and is the leading goal scorer in the competition.
