Following England’s Euro 2020 final lose to Italy on Sunday night, some English fans took to social media to racially abuse the black English players who missed penalties.

Bukayo Saka was among the three English penalty takers that missed the spot kicks. He was born in Ealing , Greater London to Nigerian parents but chose to represent his country of birth despite several attempts by the Nigerian Football federation to have him play for the super eagles.

However, Saka is not the only one who was abused online shortly after the match, Jadon Sancho who was born in Camberwell, Greater London to parents from Trinidad and Tobago also suffered the same fate as he too missed a penalty kick.

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was not spared too for missing another penalty kick as some racist fans also took to his Instagram account to shower him with insults and racist comments.

The 23-year old was born in Manchester and raised in the Wythenshawe area of the city. He is of Kittitian descent, with his grandmother being born on the West Indies island of Saint Kitts.
He received insults and racist comments on his Instagram account from angry fans.

Meanwhile, the English FA said in a statement released in the early hours of Monday that it is disgusted by the online racism and condemned it in strongest terms.
“The FA strongly condemns all forms of discrimination and is appalled by the online racism that has been aimed at some of our England players on social media,” the statement said.
“We could not be clearer that anyone behind such disgusting behaviour is not welcome in following the team. We will do all we can to support the players affected while urging the toughest punishments possible for anyone responsible.”

England’s dream to win an international trophy for the first time in over 50-years unfortunately was shuttered as Italy emerged victorious after 1-1 draw which was later decided on penalties and ended 3-2.
No race is superior to others. All people are equal and racists should be condemned.

We are human with feelings. Black is our skin and red is our blood. We are strong. We are created in the Image of God. Why concentrate on people who only wants to hurt us. One thing is for sure, Heaven is not for Racists nor is it for tribalists. We will love you in return even if you only want to hurt us.
